Jada Cooper
West Chester East High School
Soccer / Basketball / Track & Field

Jada excelled in the classroom at the highest level. She took AP classes and earned a 4.8 cumulative GPA. An AP Scholar with Distinction, she was named a National Merit Scholar, one of 2500 students nationally to receive the commendation along with a $2500 scholarship. She was a member of the National Honor Society, and the National Honor Societies for Business and Spanish. She is the recipient of the prestigious University of North Carolina Morehead-Cain Scholarship which identifies outstanding leaders and academic students offering them a fully funded four-year degree.
Cooper excelled in athletics as a member of the Soccer and Track & Field teams. She was a four-year varsity letter winner in Soccer and was the recipient of the 2023 Viking with Pride Award for Soccer and was a member of the Rebels Futbol Club. Jada was a four-year letter winner in Outdoor Track & Field and twice received the Outdoor Track Sportsmanship Award. She also competed in Indoor Track and received the 2024 Girls MVP Award. She also played two years of basketball.
In addition to her distinguished academic and athletic achievements, Jada excelled as a leader and an active communitarian. During her Senior year she was Captain of the Soccer team and was also the Student Body President where she oversaw class activities and spearheaded fund raising of over $20,000. She founded Yourhealthybrainmatters.com and published weekly content. Jada was active in DECA and scored 1st place in the 2023 & 2025 Pennsylvania State Career Development Conference. As Vice President for Habitat for Humanity she organized “build days” for members of the East student body. Cooper helped organize and promote community health events for St. Paul’s Baptist Church, was the Chester County Teen Group Program Director for Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and volunteered for the Chester County Teen Talk Line. She was received the West Chester East Spellman Humanitarianism Award for her volunteerism and citizenship engagement.
Jada will study neuroscience this Fall at the University of North Carolina.

Jackson Mills

Jackson earned a 4.645 GPA to rank 21/444 his class. He achieved Distinguished Honors in every marking period during his four years, was a two-year member of the National Honor Society and was an AP Scholar with Distinction.
Mills excelled in sports at Avon Grove High School where he was a three-sport athlete. He was a two-year varsity starter in Soccer on a team that qualified for the District One playoffs (2023/2024) and received Ches-Mont Honorable Mention honors (2023).In basketball Jackson was a two-year varsity started on the team that qualified for the District One playoffs (2023/24). He received the Ben Wallace “Unsung Hero” Award, Charles Barkley Award, Ben Wallace Award and was the Avon Grove Mr. Basketball as a senior. As a three-year varsity starter in Baseball his team qualified for the State Playoffs in his sophomore year and played in the second round of the District One playoffs as a junior.
In addition to his academic and athletic achievements, Jackson excelled as a leader and as an active member of his school and community. He had the rare honor of being selected Captain for each of the three teams he played on his senior year. His service included serving as an Avon Grove Algebra I tutor and tutoring informally in a variety of math, chemistry and physics courses. He was a New Student Orientation Leader, co-founded the Disc Golf Club and served on the Soccer Leadership Council. During his summers he served as a counselor at a variety of camps including the Ashland Nature Center, Fair Hill Nature Center, and coached at the Avon Grove Basketball Camp. He also coached Youth Soccer and was a little league umpire for two years.
Jackson will attend the University of Pittsburgh in the Fall where he will major Bioengineering / Pre-med.
