Sue Lubking was an outstanding high school and collegiate athlete,and a highly successful coach and administrator.

A three-sport athlete at Cheltenham high school, she matriculated at Ursinus College where she excelled in field hockey, lacrosse, basketball, and softball and was captain in three sports. In 1986 she was voted into the Ursinus Hall of Fame.

Upon graduation, Sue embarked on a teaching, coaching, officiating, and administrative career that spanned 45 years. She officiated four sports (40 years), taught and coached in high school and college before embarking on a 25-year career at West Chester University. While at WCU, Sue coached both field hockey and lacrosse (head coach 10 years), was an Associate Athletic Director, Interim Athletic Director, and a full professor. Sue’s 1979 Lacrosse Team won the USWILCA National Championship, and her 1982 team competed in the AIAW National Championships.

Sue is a member of two Halls of Fame (Ursinus and West Chester), and two Lacrosse Halls of Fame (Pennsylvania and the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame). She has served on numerous NCAA Committees and was President of numerous Sports Organizations including the US Women’s Lacrosse Association. She co-founded the AFWCUWA – WCU’s Women’s Hall of Fame.
